One initial meeting with no obligation to answer any questions you may have about our services and to make sure we are a good fit
One or two prenatal meetings, to explore and discuss your priorities and any fears or concerns, how you envision your labor and delivery and to discuss your birth plan (if applicable)
Email and phone support from the date of hire; 24/7 on-call availability two weeks before your due date until delivery
Continuous labor support at home, the hospital or birth center until after baby is born
Postpartum support for up to 2 hours after delivery, assisting with initial breastfeeding if desired
One postpartum visit usually within the first two weeks after birth to discuss your birth experience, welcome the baby and answer any questions you may have

I was lucky enough to have Susan as my Doula for my son’s birth in May! This was my first pregnancy and I was feeling overwhelmed at times. Susan was with my husband and I every step of the way. From the first time we talked, all the way through our birth. During our time in the hospital, she was an absolute rockstar to have with me. She helped educate me on my choices and options being offered to me during my labor and delivery. She coached me every step of the way through the entire process which ended up lasting days!
What I loved most about working with Susan was that she always let my husband and I make the decisions on what was best for our birth story but was so knowledgeable and informative and made sure I had all the facts and options given to me before any choices or decisions were made. She was a true inspiration to us, a mentor, a coach and genuinely was so passionate during the entire time we worked together.
I know that Susan will be a part of our family for many years to come and I’m so blessed that she was a part of my birth story. If and when we decide to have another blessing, there is absolutely no question in my mind that Susan would be a part of that process!
Our doula services cover the Hampton Roads Cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake
